Sorry, I have not been much help here! I may have asked this before, but does your car have Lambda control? (Does it have an oxygen sensor?). If yes, it sounds like the fuel mixture is getting very lean when the system goes into Lambda control mode, which happens 30 seconds or so after you start it. If the oxygen sensor is bad or if there is a wiring problem that prevents the controller from running the modulating valve (buzzing solendoid near air cleaner at left front) then the engine will not run well at all. I think the advice to look for things you may have changed during the brake work is good, perhaps some wiring was disturbed? It does sound like a fuel/air mixture problem, so look for anything that could be causing a leak in the intake system.
