To be honest, no. I always simply go to a parts store and request an alternator for say...1975-1980 Chevrolet Full size vehicle with AC/power steering. I always go to autozone or similiar places that offer lifetime warranties, and act as if I'm buying it for that vehicle. Don't mention you are installing it in something else, or the clerk may void that warranty. Go as early as you can go, say even 1973, and the price will be even cheaper. If your confused about the amp rating, just tell them you want the 63 or 80 amp one. Simply return the Bosch one as your core. The alternater plug harness connector will be at any parts store in stock Guaranteed. If you have a nicely detailed engine compartment like Doug M has, you could get a nice chromed one from say JC Whitney for less money than that Bosch one you mentioned. If your going to upgrade an alternator, this is the way to go.
