I find it hard to believe that in today's super competitive environment, different companies emply such different pricing strategies. Most of us are probably aware that SAABS are sold at invoice or below (at least in many cases) while BMWs ask closer to sticker. What this means is that the sticker price (MSRP) is essentially meaningless. And believe it or not, Honda acts like BMW with respect to its Odessey mini-van and Acura does the same with its new SUV, the MDX. While the MDX may require sticker because it's new and "hot", I can't believe you have to pay sticker for a van. I guess it comes down to supply and demand and Honda can't make these fast enough. But I have talked to several Dodge and Chrysler dealers who fail to mention that their actual price is much lower than the Honda's relative to the sticker. Finally, it bohters me when magazines print a "price as tested" without pointing out that one car may actually go out the door for much less. For example, the Jan Car & Driver made it appear as if a 9.3 Se is more expensive than a 3 series BMW and we all know that this is not the case, even of the BMW is stripped. Joshua Harrison
