Last night I was driving around the city, and talking to my friend about my brake pads (maybe time to replace). He said he thought the handbrake worked on the front wheels, I thought it was rear, so while I was driving about15 or 20 mph, I put the e-brake on for a few seconds, to see if the car squatted with the brakes on the rear wheels...

after that, I started to get a major high pitch squeel from the wheels, which went away if I got off the gas, or if I tapped the brakes. After about 15 minutes the sound went away, so we just guessed a pad got hung up or maybe some dirt got lodged between the rotor - pad.

So, two questions - 1. The NG900, the e-brake is a drum type brake?? I thought the rears were disc... is there a seperate mech. for the ebrake?

2. Do the saabs pads have wear indicators??
