Shifting from 2nd to 3rd this morning, clutch went to floor with no pressure and not disengaging. Made it into an IHOP parking lot (convenient) and took a look at the cable. Helper depressed clutch pedal, and cable still seems to pull a little. BUT, when I disconnected cable from control arm, the arm swings around loosely.
-How much play should there be in the contro arm (if any)
-Could it be my release bearing?
-Clutch gone too?

The car is a '97 900SET
73K miles, original clutch, original cable, light city/hwy driving
