Unfortunately, the best thing for GM is to file bankruptcy, create a successful business model that emmulates the Japanese manufacturers-Then execute. It will include a large reduction in labor/legacy cost for the US market. For decades, they have been building reliable fuel efficient cars in Europe and never understood why they can't sell them in the United States.
GM is highly profitable all over the world except in the United States. Which tells me they have talented management, maybe not in the America.
If they continue on their current path, all divisions including SAAB will suffer and SAAB will be reduce to another Pontiac, Buick or Oldsmobile.
