Obviously, per my username, I don't live in PA. But I find the state a fascinating collection of American colonial history. I have explored many of the northeastern states and find PA one of the most interesting. There are so many delightful historic towns with colonial heritage.
If you do the 80 to 476 route, I suggest you check out some of the towns along 476. Jim Thorpe and Bethlehem are two good example. If you go to Bethlehem, make sure to cross the bridge and see the historic downtown (i.e walk around and see the wonderful collection of historic homes)...
