I got unlocked/unbranded Nexus straight from Google - link is below. This is their regular price, not a sale.

Verizon likes to play games with their pricing - at some point CDMA Nexus was available there for free with 2 year contract. It is still available for $0.01 with contract if you buy it through amazon - search for B0061R2A1S. I could not find any discounts for iPhone 4S on Verizon.

I did not like Android 2 years ago and went with iPhone - but they are much better now.
