it is currently hooked up like you mentioned.
however, there are three connections on the pot. using a digital vom, it appears that the center connection is ground and the two outer connections are reciprical. meaning, between the ground and each outer lead, the resistance increases wih clockwise rotation across one, but decreases across the other. do i have it hooked up correctly? my understanding from the installation manual is that the 5 volts goes to the pot and that the aux input goes to the other side of the pot so that the resistance can be changed by turning the pot. there is no mention of a third wire or grounding point.
no that i think of it though, does the other side of the pot (the third unused lead) need to go to ground?
fwiw, the field in the software calls for "AD Volts" for the reference point.
