Get ceramic window film. I had Huper Optik film installed. Ceramic (50% visible light rated) film blocks ~3x total sun energy vs. standard film of limo tint darkness. My legal ceramic film doesn't look too dark but it blocks much more of what kills your interior and burns you up.:) Of course, it's more expensive. I paid $450 to have it installed on my 135i, including the moonroof glass.

The newest and best performing ceramic film is 3M Crystalline. I couldn't find an installer in my area.
