I cannot stand TCS in most situations, particularly dry conditions. I also don't like it much in wet conditions. However, I do like it for snow. I think the difference is that I might "floor" the car in dry or wet conditions, and TCS has a tendency to take power away during these times. With snow, I'm not going that fast anyway, so the braking portion of the TCS comes on but the "kill the engine" portion doesn't.
