Ive fairly resigned to the idea that a realy tuned C900 is probably more trouble then its worth :-(
I think around 300BHP they become realy realy problematic
they are awesme cars I friggin love my SPG but everytime I stand on the throttle I think something might let loose :-(
the reason Im here & part of this scene is because of my clasic 900 SPG
so I have to say to myself honestly if Im gona turn the SPG way the hell up Im gona brake stuff all the time :-(
my SPG is still down with a broken ring or burned piston (smoking & lots of blowbye)
I havent been quick to fix it even though Im in love with the car I am torn like you are about yours
the newgen is a much sturdier car I think if yuo want a 400HP car that the newgen platform works better if you brake a trans there are tons around & they are easy to rebuild/R&R the engine management is light years ahead of the LH
I dont want to discourage folks from having C900s at all I love them definatly I just think that if you want a real V8 eating hotrod that a 9000 or a newgen is the way to go
I dont mean to pee in anyones wheaties here I just mean to be honest & speak from expierence
once again Im sorry for your trouble
if you want to pull that trans & send it here Ill take care if it for you I have a core or 2 laying around & I stock bearings & stuff for these tranies
& you know you can call any time :-)
take care
JAK
