GM,
That is really too bad! I thought that Jurgen's 4 speed box would hold up. What really is annoying is all the work that you have put into your engine and tranny so that you could deliver and handle the horsepower.
I did not want to munch my tranny so when I put in the engine management system I kept boost down at 10-12 psi. Having a smooth power band and a lighter car has helped my Automotion built tranny last for 10 plus years and 100k miles. I don't know what horsepower I am running but I did have to go to an aero clutch set up as the stocker was spinning.
Jak is right however, the 900 tranny is not set up to handle the horsepower. Having seen how much power you can get out of thewe engines, it makes you realize how detuned they come from the factory. The small injectors and fuel map must have been created to save the tranny!!
Shawn at ScanWest tells me that their trannys are holding up pretty well. No failures yet. Knock on wood.....
Good luck Man!!!
