The final answer is to find a like vehicle and use that as the value. Books mean nothing. They are reported sales and it has been shown that the values reported are not always factual.
So find a couple vehicle 'just like' your and get a written value for those vehicles as the settlement price. If your car had less miles or more than use the book adjuster to temper the price. If you have a dealer that will write a valuation on your car you can use that. Remember settlement is retail value of your car. Not Black Book what we buy the car for, but never sell at that price. NADA, Blue Book, Black Book, etc. all have their charm, but do not agree as the 'system' uses them to THEIR advanctage when buying and sellling cars.
Again the best true value of your car is what it would sell for at retail in your area. If not available in your area then in the region, etc.
Good Motoring.
