...and I have said before in this forum that the 2.3 LPT has no place in a car of Saab's caliber. Saab has to offer hefty incentives in order to sell them.
Ironically, the cars you listed are all a notch or two below the 9-5 in market positioning. When you compare with more direct competitors (Audi A6, Lexus ES/GS300, Infiniti G/I35, Acura TL) the competition is even stiffer. Turbo torque is nice, but all of the aforementioned car's engines are smoother both in feel and power delivery.
