SAAB just plain underrates their engines.

You can take any 1999-2002 SAAB and put
it on a DYNO at sea level air pressure and
you will find out that once that the engine
is broken in, they all have a bit more power
then what SAAB states.
Then the T7 cars compensate for altitude up to
10'000 feet, that's a 30% plus in HP compared
to a standard atmo engine.
Yeah.. the SAAB 4CYL is a little rough when you
compare it to a 6cyl BMW engine... but on the other
side it's easy to increase power on a SAAB engine.
