So what you are saying is that the car has had 1 problem that you are unhappy about. (Plus a couple of delivery issues that you aren't worried about).

Sounds to me like the Dealer didn't fix the first issue correctly (guessed at the computer). It's not the car's fault that it wasn't fixed correctly, and it's not the car's fault that the dealer couldn't fix it when you took it back when you wanted it fixed.

There is nothing wrong with the Saab 9-5 per se. There are some dealers who are less than satisfactory though - and that goes for any marque I'm afraid.

Let's be realistic when we are talking about these issues - I'm not an apologist for Saab, but it grieves me when I see the car's reliability slammed on the record, when it doesn't have a reliability issue as far as my experiences over 4 x 9-5's go. (Apart from the damned SID that is :-)

Saab's make some great cars. Occasionally there are issues, and it is always the issues that get talked about. Reading this board, you might think twice about buying one when there has been a spate of moaning. That would not be a fair reflection or indication on the true quality of what are one of the most innovative, individual, and capable car marques on the road today.

Try a different dealer, and when it's fixed, come back again and tell us how great the car is :-)
