We just leased a 9-5 Linear with premium and manual. Love it. We traded in our trusty 99 Passat GLs wagon. 55k miles in 3 years and only 2 problems-1 under warrante. It is a fine auto and a better buy than the GLX. A loaded GLS (manual) is about 4k less than a Linear. But, the lease deals now on the Linear are incredible. If you have the money go for the Saab. You are getting a 37K automobile for alot less. We (actually our Corgi) had more rear room in the Passat, but the total comfort and feel of the Saab is far superior. The only complain we have is the lumbar support and the lack of the curtain air bag. The manual states that the sides only activate on side impact, not a roll over. The Volvos are overpriced-we felt, but nice cars.
