Thanks for all of the input! I drove the 330i and the 525 at lunch (both auto w/ steptronic "manual").
The front seating in the 330 is surprisingly roomy, but the back seat had less room than the Volvo S60, which had less than the 9-5. The interior quality/luxury of the 330 was similar to the 9-5, perhaps very slightly better but that perception could be because it's fresh in my mind. The handling of the 330 was, well very much better than the 9-5 (which was better than the S60) - I really felt connected to the road in it and it just seemed so balanced.
The front seating in the 525 has about the same room front-to-back as the 330, but more hip/shoulder room. The handling/acceleration just weren't there - it would rate lowest on the acceleration and lower, but not significantly so on the handling. It really felt sluggish after driving the 330 and didn't hold as well around the corners. The smoothness of the ride with the 525 might have been slightly better than the 9-5, but the handling wasn't as good.
So, I've eliminated the 525 and the V60. The Aero has a slight lead over the 330i because of the Aero's size/interior room.
