While I was biased by Saab I looked at 9-5 Aero, a Viggen 5-door, 330i, and the Audi A4 3.0. I also thought I might save a few bucks and checked out a Maxima, Accord (2002), and a Jetta. Jetta was the winner of the lower end. The A4 didn't do anything for me in any variety (an S4 new body style might have), the 330i was a great car, but value for the price was hard to swallow after driving the Aero. My hardest decision was between the Viggen and the Aero. I had a Viggen coupe already so it was tough, but the 2002 Aero upgrades won me over -- especially the upgraded sport seats.
The 330 is a great car, but with the deals you can get on an Aero it makes the decision easy.
