even have a specific fault code for failed DI cassette, but more rely on misfiring fault codes, which could be triggered by nomerous things.
I was able to see a failed knocksensor on one 93 9K, even though the Trionic doesn't have a knocksensor per se. The signal back to Trionic box was flat and turbo boost was gone.
That was the only time I encountered a DI cassette where the knock sensing device was bad.
I have taken a couple of cassettes apart, but everything is soo tightly moulded with some kind of Shellack compound poured over the whole circuit boards and whatever they use inside, so it was very difficult to see anything or determine what I was actually looking at.
