As an earlie poster menioned, is a matter of preference and we humans can get used to anything if we have to. I just had my '02 Aero 5 spd in for service and got an '04 Arc auto as a loaner, with the little steering wheel paddles. It nearly drove me crazy in just one mixed traffic 370 mile round trip commute. I said to myself I could get used o this but it sort of introduces a delay between thinking and shifting and braking takes on a whole ne w character. As long as I drive as an activity as opposed to a chore ( and I'm a hardened commuter) I will prefer a manual.
