You must be new here. That subject,along with what viscosity oil and brand of tires to run,might be the most beat to death subjects you will find here. If you area dyed in the wool manual fan,chances are that no amount of dialog or opinion will really matter. Personally,I drove manuals exclusively for about 35 years before switching to my current car( 2002 Aero/automatic). Absolutely love it,but the minute I can get my hands on a new style padle shifted E/H transmission,like those in the newer BMW's and Ferraris,I'm outa here in a flash. There is a distinct advantage to the increased engine braking and fuel efficiency of a full manual,but in heavy traffic,I want no part of stepping on a clutch or rowing the gear lever around. For now, the Aero's excellent auto makes more sense for me. You should go with your gut on this subject,and not drive what someone else thinks is better.
