What's the rush? I'd rather see upgraded interiors with head curtain airbags, nav, relocated window switches and hence better cupholders, SID at the base of the windshield, Sentronic shift quadrant on the console and other stuff and keep the same sheetmetal.
Sure they could make it look a little different, but IMO that's not enough justification for change, particularly as regards to Saab.
I vote to retain 9-5's with minor/major improvements and bring out another model as a 9-6 or something.
