Here's my two cents' worth: I purchased a 2000 9-5 wagon (Gary Fisher Edition) in September of 2003 with 49500 miles on the clock. Since then (I'm now at 65k) I have had to replace the following parts:
1 tail light bulb
both front wiper blades
the oil & filter (several times!)
In other words I love this car. It's my second Saab, as I previously owned a 1996 9000T. I could have chosen a new Hyundai or Toyota Corolla for the $15k I paid for this beauty, and am very happy I didn't do it. I still feel the car is very nicely styled, inside and out, and it still turns head everywhere.
One more vote for the 9-5!
