It's the age old automatic vs stick with a 2001, no right answer, personal preference.
2002 got the 5 speed auto, but still with the normal PRND4321 shifter. 2003's got the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, PRDM1, when in M, full manual control with the paddles, although some complain of slow response. Now you have a new paradigm, 5 speed with a clutch and shifter to grind gears and miss shifts, or 5 speed auto with paddles, never a missed shift or grinding gears, and the 5 speed auto has closer spaced ratios, as the torque converter sorta' makes it a six speed.
