*#$&*#$ Clutch pressure plate Posted by RS [Email] (#15) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RS) on Sat, 8 Jun 2002 16:24:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |

How do I get the lousy thing out? The Slave cylinder only extended enough for me to jam in a #6 bare copper wire. There's a piece of the slave cylinder that extends in beyond the fingers of the pressure plate.
Townsend Imports' site says, "Now push the slave cylinder forward into the pressure plate and cram it all together. Pry the works out through the left side. Tight fit huh? It helps at times to turn the flywheel relevant to the dowel pins.
After you get the assembly out, remove the Special Tool. ..."
Well, every time I try to slide the lousy thing out, the clutch disc jams against the dowel.
Any advice or experience besides "take it to a GOOD mechanic" ;-) ?
Thanks all
RS
