I checked the knock sensor and it appeared to be tight. Tough spot to try to get your hand in. I used an extension between the exhaust manifold ports. Inspected and cleaned distributer cap. Looks like the spark hits on the right far edge of the copper contacts. Seems a little off if you ask me. None the less, I cleaned off the edges where their was some buildup. Tightened a loose hose and replaced another vaccum hose. Started the car and it's good as new.
I would still be interested to know if the distributer is off a bit. I don't have a test light either. Should I get a test light?
Any thoughts?
