Justin, I read the link and the pump only handles 300F.

Now Gorpers post that started all of this talk of tranny coolers speaks of trannies getting to 300F because they are heat sinks for the engine. I am afraid that this pump might not have the proper tolerance built in. I am betting that on a 90 degree day in sunny Florida or where ever with the A/C on an under the engine temps getting under the hood, there might be a problem, especially on starting the car after a 5 minute stop to get cofee and the like. I am sure the tranny fluid might even get hotter on such a day. The best way perhaps to avoid this is to either get a different pump OR allow this self priming pump to sit in the system BEHIND the tranny radiator/cooler. That way at least it is only getting hit with cooled oil. I still have my concerns though. I would prefer at least a 50-75 degree safety margine.
