A cheap drill press is less than 100 bucks at Sears. I might buy one once my wife and I move to a bigger place. I have a ton of drills and hand tools and even electric impact tools, but I sometimes need to rely on a steady grip for things that need a drill press when my bud is away. I think it is time for a lathe, a drill press, and a wood planer. Why not attach this probe to the tip of your car's tranny oil dipstick, or are you a year without this great thing? I have one and I love it. If you are a year without, just get the plate and slip it on. Seems easy enough.
