I have noticed this switch has 2 wires connected to it, 1 black and 1 either gray or maybe white? Anyway, why are there 3 connecters but only 2 wires and also which wire goes to which position on the switch? I suspect mine may be connected in correctly. The switch positions are marked "C", "2" and "4". Still troublshooting the intermittent hunting idle. I have cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the AIC, ohms tested the throttle sensor, replaced any vacuum line that was suspect. Car still idles around 1200, surges to 1500 then back down to 1200 and occasionally will even idle around 1000, but not very often. This is a 1988 900s nt 16valve, 5spd. The LH2.4 has the 2 wire type AIC and the AMM is the plastic body, no adjustment screw type. Any suggestions? I'm really starting to doubt the AMM, but hate to buy one if it's not the problem, I may have to though, would probably be wise to carry one in the car as a spare. Car has 197k.
