Maybe you have a good reason for suspecting things weren't correct before, but I always have been dubious of anyone changing what they find on a car on some sort of presumption that it might not be correct, when usually wiring is absolutely nominal and the way it has been since it left the factory. How could two wires come out of a made-on connector end and get interchanged and get back in the connector? Yes, if someone knew how to trip the little tongue that holds the push-ons inside the plastic block, but if they knew that they should know not to mess with it. Then again, maybe you have good reason. Anyway, if it's just swapping one with the other, either way works perfectly well so go ahead and swap them - - do it every day, if you want.
