I was refering to the throttlebody microswitch near the bell crank, not the throttle position sensor on the other side. Sensor tests good, microswitch tests ok, sensor has three wires enclosed in a factory connector so can only connect one way, the microswitch has two wires, one gray, one black that are seperate at the switch. The microswitch seems to only be needed for the A/C, and after taking it apart again last night I think most of my problem is the condition of the throttle body itself, seems like the shaft is so gummed up inside that at throttle full closed its still slightly open and this seems to keep the idle up. I cleaned inside and out with gumout and did improve it's function, but I believe I will have to remove the throttle mech from the car this weekend and do a more thorough cleaning. My surging idle was pretty much gone today, idle still around 1100-1200, but still improved.
