1. At first you were comparing the weights of the '91-92 with the later CS styles. Now you're talking about the 2.0 L motor. Stay consistent and compare models with the same engine, at least.
2. I've owned 4 different 9000's, also. The only difference in suspensions between my '87 and the '94 is the spring rates and shocks. The car is a family sedan. It was designed not to enter into oversteer - especially for a vehicle that's more than likely to be used on slick winter roads, something that BMW's should definitely avoid.
3. Come on - again, we're talking family sedan. Am I being subjective saying that the 9000's brakes are more than sufficient for normal road use? If you want to be objective, compare apples with apples. Don't start talking about Porsche and M3's (doesn't the M3 use ATE's components, too?). Yes, I'm sure there are better brakes out there, but you're giving the impression the 9000 has bad brakes.
