Thanks everyone for your input. Let me add that my current car is used to haul Porsche parts around, and somewhat like George, summer car is an 84 911 (driveable restoration), but I also have a '71 track car with big motor and 930 Turbo calipers on a 2000 lb car. No 9000 ever will come close to that car in braking, or even the 84, but I agree with Zeke that with the right pads and tires, I am happy with the brakes in my current car.
Dim33 sums it up best when saying that the 9000 is probably the best all-around sporting car out there, and I do drive it as hard as my street 84. Having a dedicated set of snows, this thing is also unstoppable, even with our current Boston winter. (I actually went out in the peak of the storm for fun)
Pristine 91/92s are very hard to come by. I picked the 95 CSE as there is a nice around here in the Boston area for $4800 that I will be looking at today. I will definitely post some thoughts on that car vs. the 92.
I wish I could afford an aero!
