Thank you, AMG...I did go to the auto parts store with my list and my owner's manual, and those are the spark plugs, but they did not have them. I could try a couple of other stores tomorrow, but I may end up having to order them online.

Do you know why my "check engine" light is no longer illuminated? I mean....would that indicate anything in particular? (Like...well, it couldn't possibly be the O2 sensor if the CEL went out...or anything like that?)

I do have sufficient tools for the removal of the DI cassette, I think, because last year I bought a big yellow tool box and a whooooole bunch of tools. I think something in there will do nicely.

You wrote: "the plug gap should be..... well that's debatable but I use .9mm or .036 inches

The highest you'd want to use would be 1.1mm."

I don't understand anything about the gap business. My owner's manual does mention the gap as well, but to me the Gap is a clothing store, and I'm not sure what you refer to when you discuss .9mm gaps, for instance.

I am assuming this is something I will need to do to the plug itself? Is it self-explanatory/obvious when I'm looking at the spark plug?

I will buy a spark plug gap tool along with the spark plugs and the DI-electric grease when and wherever I can find them all.

Thanks again for all of your help.

Julia
