ECU repair didn't seem to work, next step?

So I attempted the three-MOSFET replacement job on my ECU in order to alleviate my base boost problem that's been nagging for a long time. Two of the transistors were definitely shot - melted plastic covers and all - so I replaced all three, but I think I did so poorly. (I know, I know, I should have taken it to a SAAB tech.)
Installed the ECU and a new BPC, now I get open-circuit from pins 1 and 3 of the ECU cable to ground, but still 12V from the center pin. BPC is not blown, both sides are 2.8 ohms and it buzzes just fine when the car is on. APC fuse #5 is not blown. Disconnecting W hose produces dramatic boost - it isn't a mechanical issue as far as I can see.
With this situation, should I give up and buy another ECU, or have an expert bench it and repair it? What would be the likelihood of me buying another ECU with blown drivers? Could it still be cruise control, which has never worked? I know I made a couple mistakes installing the transistors in my ECU, but I think they could be rectified just by putting another three in.
