I'll disagree. If the cruise control is not working it may be pointing to one of more of the switches bing mechanically misadjusted, or broken, or disconnected. The are mounted on the same flimsie metal bracket too. If it bends away from the pedal it takes both of them. That was my point. If the ECU is working, and the wastegate rod is in place, and the BCV/BPC is working, and the vacuum lines are working... what else is left :)
Perhaps try this as a test, on your 1994 reach down and unplug the electrical connector on the brake pedal, go for a spin and see if you still have max boost? I don't know about changes in the 1995 MY, I guess I could go and look but don't know what good that does if his is a 1994? I do have 2 1992 9000CDT autos, a 1994 and a 1996 9000 Aero 5 speed the 94 with TCS and the 96 without. And have fixed the switch several times, for clients and friends (BTW on a 5 speed the switch for the brake and the clutch are interchangable too) and to do a test of the switch just do a jumper around it. This way I test whether the switch is working, be it internal contact issues or external adjustment in relation to the bracket.
Just trying to do the trouble shooting thing...
