rs are the same value is when everything is at ambient temp. The air is never the same as the block and the thermo is always a little cooler than the block sensor. so ambient is it - a one point measurement. now to your questions.
Idle air control closes off when the engine comes off idle and points open in the TPS. This then forces all responses to function as a position of the TB butterfly. The idle air control is a bleed bypass device which allows air to bypass the butterfly and allow the engine to continue running after the points in the TPS shut down the primary injector fuel. The wastegate modulates if there is any fuel/detonatiion problem but if fuel is good and power is moderate the waste gate remains closed. should the plugs get a wide gap sometimes the waste gate will modulate because of a trionics detection of a pending pre ignition problem. You know I would close the gaps in the plugs to 0.8 mm and see if your problem does improve. Also you may even try a new set of plugs I have found bad -new plugs and I sure hope you are using NGK BCPR 7ES, if not we are both wasting time trying to solve this, especially if using Bosch-they just don't seem to run well in DI cars. I sure hope you aren't ofended by this but I can't reiterate how important the gap and the correct plugs are to good performance in the Aero engines. I certainly know Saab states the gap is ok at 1.1 mm and is the correct gap but having had four aeros with DI ignitions, I have found these engines are highly sensitive to plugs and gap. Also 10-15000 miles is the life of the plugs in the Aero engine
