I am certainly not offended by anyone who is trying to help. I am pretty well self taught with the 2.3l, I drove a 1991 2.3 NA so the turbo and trionic are new to me. I work as an electrical engineer but people tell me I should have worked on my true love, cars, good waste of an EE degree. The problem I'm having is that I can't get a hold of real detailed technical info.
1. I have cleaned my IAC and it wasn't sticking, just wanted to know if it did any fine tuning off idle. That answer you gave me is that it is closed and out of the loop off idle.
2. But the wastegate shouldn't do anything below base boost right? I understand that BPC valve modulates the wastegate to reduce boost in case of knock. So the wastegate can't be giving me problems because all my missing is below base boost and the wastegate can't adjust boost below this preset mechanical value.
My plugs are NGK BCPR 7ES and I have them all gapped at .85mm The plugs made no difference from changing them out along with the swapped DI(I've used 3 different DI's) I would change them and drive imediately after with the same results. As a last resort I will be paranoid and regap them.
Again I almost feel like I'm almost wasting your time because I haven't eliminated the electronics of the injectors getting fouled in wet weather.
I have almost eliminated everything else : )
Thanks.
