You could be happy with this car for years with a relatively small investment. The 1998 car was a much better car than the one I have. Oddly enough the reason I wont kill it is due to the fact that it still looks great on the inside and outside. You probably need a redo of the front suspension and some work on the AC system (all I ever needed was a 90.00 expansion valve and my AC still works) as the previous owner put in a good bit of cash toward the end. Exhaust repair is a piece of cake, as is the IC and hoses (upgrade to the later design). If it is a 5spd coupe, I would have a hard time letting her go. Also have a beautiful, black/charcoal 00 9-3 (63k) SE 5spd. but the four doors dont do it for me and the car sits idle while I wear out my ol' 94.
Sad to say after putting 1,000 miles on my wifes 05 A4 Cabriolet (2k) in Florida this weekend, I think I am in love with something entirely different. But never keep an Audi too long.
