I must say that I agree with what has been said by the op. However, I've found many european cars to be expensive to maintain/repair when compared to their japanese or american alternatives. I can accept expensive repair bills if I deem the car "worthy" (handling, performance, security, style). I personally feel as though late model Saabs fall short in some of those areas, and the added repair costs makes it an unworthy car for me. That's why it's my wife's car. My 2 cents: if you're not passionate about the car, which I don't think you are, ditch it for something that you are passionate about...and maintain the hell out of it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
