You probably have not got this answer because a lot of the info is stuff taht only the auto magazines report on, like skidpad speed and cornering force, slalom times(for which there is no real standard),etc. For a magazine to do a review, or a full road test, they would have had to had a car for about a week or so, and it usually takes two to four months for it to reach the news stand.
That said, what are the chances that a major magazine will do a full road test on the new Aero? Not really good. A update or review? Some have already been done, like Autoweek, and Car &Driver, but those do not include testing for performance data. I believe the reason that we will not see ful roat tests is that to the automotive world, the new 2002 9-5 is not really that new, and they are going to save their print space for cars that are. i know that all Saab enthusiasts will take that as an insult, but I believe that this is the criteria that the magazines have to use when selecting what cars to write about.
Now for the good news. There are Aero's at the dealers now, so you can actually drive it to see if it meets or exceeds your expectations.
I got to drive the Aero auto this summer, and can assure you that you will be impressed. I believe that the sedan will come in on the holy 0-60 time in about 6.5 seconds or so,once broken in, which for a Saab is important. Every one I have had needed about 10,000 miles to really loosen up, and there was a difference. the one I drove was brand new,and still pushed me back in the seat hard.
I suspect that the wagon is about 3 to four tenths off that pace. Brakes are just plain awesome. I know this is not hard core numerical data, but what the car can do for you is a lot more important than test data where they just plain beat on the car to get the numbers.
Good luck on your test drive.
