As regards performance against BMW M3s, let me describe what happened -
At the traffic light a few days ago, I was up against a yellow-green M3 (newest model, E46). On the green light, he either had trouble with his clutch or he was taking it easy as he took about a second to start off.
I was not waiting around and floored my lightly tuned estimated 250 hp 9000CDE. The rest of the traffic was left far behind. The M3 was soon only 3-4 lengths behind all the way till 130 km but traffic appeared and the duel was off.
If he had started at the same moment as me, I gather I would have given a good fight.
