Yes, the NAV 750 should be fully compatible with Street Atlas, though I have no personal experience here....Keep in mind that the NAV 750 is a real high-end unit. It's MSRP is around $1700.00. There are _much_ less expensive map gps models available if you are willing to give up some of the bells and whistles. If you are willing to keep the laptop hooked up and running, all you really need to look for is a good screen and logical controls.
The MapSend software is indeed sold seperately from the MAP 330 gps. However, I bought mine in a package deal (the MAP 330X) that included a power cable/ pc interface, windshield suction cup mount, and the MapSend Streets CD for $250, which is about the price of the gps sold seperately.
In January Staples, in some parts of the USA, was selling the MAP 330X for $99.00 after all the rebates. I think this is a sign the model is being discontinued, but it also means that good deals ocassionally do show up.
The MapSend Topo CD, which adds topographic data to the street data found in MapSend Streets, is selling for around $80 at the moment. So $100 for the deal I just mentioned is almost like getting a free GPS.
If you haven't seen this yet, check out the following link. It has a wealth of info for anyone contemplating a new or additional gps.
