As far as testing fuel pressure this later Saab should have a standard fuel pressure shrader valve test port on the fuel rail. So if you don't have one I have heard you can borrow from one of the parts stores advance/autozone. Or buy a cheap one about anywhere with that connection. I would think any large vacuum leak would effect idle speed and be noticable. So yes I would recommend starting with checking fuel pressue. Remember the fuel pressure regulator will have printed a spec on it. That is what pressure should be if you remove the vacuum line from the regulator. When you attach the vacuum line it will drop about .5 bar. I think it is 3.0 bar in a 02 9-5 which would be just under 45 psi if the gauge doesn't have bar. Good Luck, Bernie
