Wow, I thought I was the only one, but there's definitely a pattern here. Russ Parsons is NOT a good guy to deal with over the internet. I've heard that he's OK to deal with in person, though.
I responded to his ad here hoping to find a new pair of door panels for my '91 convertible. It took about a month of going back and forth with emails in order to understand the condition of the door panels. Looking back -- *that* should have been my warning to run away, but I assumed he was just not very tech-savvy.
The pictures that he finally sent didn't show much detail, but Russ promised that they were all in good shape. He also claimed that they were "the best" of all of the door panels that he had. Apparently, he really likes to use that line.
After agreeing on a price, I made payment via Paypal. After 6 weeks of more delays and confusion, the door panels finally arrived. They were packed poorly and full of black marks, random depressions, peeling trim fabric, etc. When I brought it too his attention, he didn't care enough to do the right thing.
Long story short, I'm out $100 and have a set of door panels that are in worse condition than the ones I wanted to replace!
Inaccurate, Slow, Rude. It's the last time I deal with Russ Parsons, too!
