I was just thinking today how hard it is to get at the clutch. The c900 just has a plastic shield a person can rip off and dive right into the clutch guts. The 9000 looks to be quite a problem to gain access to the clutch guts. Did you replace the clutch on the 9000 how dose one get at it?
I think I just might have an Indy do a clutch job on this car when needed. Its a bummer because I love rebuilding the clutch on the c900. When this 9000 is in need of a new clutch I'll get the seal done also. Might be awhile because I was talking with the old owner today and it seems he just replaced the clutch not long before I jumped in it.
The bell housing dose have oil dripping from the bottom of it about 2 or 3 drips when the car is parked after a drive but no where near the amount being lost over the course of 4000 miles. The amount of oil dripping off the shifter shaft plus the oil dripping from the bell housing would be about the amount it looses. But I'm dumbfounded and haven't a clue how motor oil can be at the shifter shaft.
Sounds like you got a real good find with your 93, super low miles. This one I got had a owner before the guy I got it from that tweaked the car with a racer exhaust, strange gizmos in the motor, a bov instead of the bypass valve, who knows how much psi the turbo is boosting at, its running a tad rich probably to compensate for the excess psi at full boost, the car reminds me allot of my spg totally modded. This 9000 has had a ruff existence I'm sure of it and I kinda find I have a lead foot when I get behind the wheel of it also :) oh well' if something breaks ill fix it. Sure is fun
