'93 9k turbo, when I first got it my fist two tanks were 93 octane and then I put in a tank of regular. Since I was driving the car 1800 miles and it was new I couldn't help but have fun with it and I noticed an almost immediate decline in the turbo boost output. Not a lot but enough that it was noticable on the stock gauge. Down in Florida it only costs an extra $2-4 per tank for the high octane. Based on my experience just for the extra power it's worth it the money.
