Ari is pretty much on target with his response, but I thought that I'd clarify a few things:
Higher octane fuel contains more of the chemical Octane, which is very effective in slowing the combustion process. Premium grade of gasoline usually contains higher octane, detergents, and is in general a "cleaner" fuel. This last point is minimized at most reputable gas stations--Regular is still pretty clean.
What this means to you is that you can generally extract more performance out of a higher grade of gasoline with less damage to the engine. By slowing the process of combustion, the fuel/air mixture resists predetonation while burning cleaner and more completely. This is very good for high performance cars.
Should you use it? Like Ari said, depends on the car. Your car was designed to run on bottom-grade gasoline. You have relatively low compression, tame cam profiles, and non-radical timing curves. So, if everything's up to spec. you should be fine to run Regular gasoline (even in Turbo cars this is ok). If you do notice engine knock (predetonation), bad mileage, or a serious lack of power on a regular basis, change your gas station and/or get your car checked. You should not notice a huge difference between grades of gasoline without significant performance modifications. If you do run Regular, it would be wise to run a fuel system cleaner every oil change to remove any deposits in your system.
